The Maryhaven School
-
The Columbus City School District Board of Education
provides educational services to the adolescent clients. The Board of
Education has provided Maryhaven with two teachers who are licensed to teach
students at the middle and/or high school level, and who are highly qualified
according to the Ohio Department of Education Standards. These teachers will
address the educational and social/emotional needs of students in eighth
through twelfth grade. They will also provide special education services
aligned with the students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Another option that is offered to our clients is GED preparation. Any
client that is eligible, and wants to take the GED Practice test is connected
with a Title One tutor from the Columbus City School system. These tutors
utilize GED books and pretest materials to assist with preparing the GED
clients for the Practice test. The GED Practice test is administered once each
month and the test is free. By passing the Practice test students earn a fee
waiver to take the Actual GED test for free as well.
Safety and Security
We focus on providing a safe therapeutic environment for each Adolescent
