At Maryhaven, we pride ourselves on being open to everyone in the community, regardless of circumstances, past attempts at recovery or ability to pay.

In order to be Open to All, you also have to be Open All the time – which is why our detox services at 1430 S. High Street are here for clients 24/7.

When your health and life are at stake immediacy counts, so those needing a bed for detox can walk-in anytime without an appointment. Our 24/7 detox and triage services at South High are located on the first and third floors, while our Central Intake team, staff primarily dedicated to helping people seeking outpatient services, is located on the fourth floor (and takes walk-ins -Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.). We offer walk-in hours at our regional sites Monday-Friday as well.

Detox can be intimidating to people with substance use disorders, but our diverse team of health professionals and clinicians work around the clock to keep clients healthy, safe and as comfortable as possible during the process. We follow best practices in withdrawal management for all forms of addiction, including treating people who are relying on methadone maintenance.

Another factor in the type of open access Maryhaven provides is that we stand ready to serve no matter your situation. Have an ID and insurance card with you? That’s great. Have only the clothes on your back? That’s okay too. We are dedicated to welcoming all people, which often differentiates us from other treatment centers.

And, of course, what good is it to be open if you’re not accessible? Many find our location on South High convenient, but for those that don’t (or if someone needs additional assistance) we can assist with transportation. It’s breaking down barriers like this (along with language, cultural competency, and many more) that truly sets Maryhaven apart.
